What is Adobe InDesign?
Adobe InDesign is a graphic design application which is part of the Adobe Suite. Graphic design is used in the creation of printed documents such as magazines, newspapers, stationery and business cards, as well as for websites, logos, advertising, packaging and many other things. In other words, it is used for anything that requires text and/or images to communicate a message.
The following courses are available for the Adobe InDesign application. You can choose one of the standard courses or choose ‘Design your own’ where you can pick and mix chapters. All class based courses also include access to all the course material.
InDesign CS4
Overview
The skills and knowledge acquired in Adobe InDesign CS4 are sufficient to be able to create publications and the like.
Target Audience
Adobe InDesign CS4 is designed for users who are keen to learn how to produce high quality attractive publications with this powerful page layout software.
Pre-requisites
Adobe InDesign CS4 assumes little or no knowledge of the software. However, it would be beneficial to have a general understanding of personal computers and the Windows operating system environment.

- work with the features in the inDesign window
- Select and work with tools
- Create new documents
- Add text to documents
- Format text using a variety of techniques
- Add graphics to a document
- Create and work with layers
- Apply a range of formatting techniques

We are happy for you to mix and match chapters from different levels or different applications.
Two hour training session…..choose any 3 chapters
Half day training session…….choose any 5 chapters
Full day training session…….choose any 11 chapters
The pricing for your course will be based on our standard pricing. You will not be charged any extra for this service.

There are a number of car parks surrounding the centre including the Gallowgate car park and Loch Street car park.
You can walk to F1plus by turning onto Broad Street from Union Street. Most Aberdeen bus services will take you to either Union Street, Broad Street or Loch Street.
